This project provides 1) an estimation of 22 student support programmes (SSP) which are operated in 15 venues for NCS students and the SSP offers lessons to NCS students after school hours and /or during non-public school holidays including Saturdays. 2) an estimation of 10 teacher workshops per school year which are led by experienced practitioners who have both theoretical background and practical experiences in teaching Chinese as a second language. The SSP aims to support the integration of NCS students into local education system; to provide NCS students with assistance in overcoming the difficulties in the learning of Chinese Language; to equip NCS students for taking the relevant exit examinations upon their graduation from school; to empower NCS students for self-learning of Chinese Language; and to facilitate NCS students the cross-cultural learning among the languages that they know.
