Abstract: This lecture reviews the historical experiences of teaching Chinese as a second language to ethnic minority students in Mainland China, focusing on practical explorations in textbook development, curriculum design, teacher training, and teaching methods. Through real-world cases and macro-level data, it presents the evolution from scattered exploration to a systematic approach, summarizing core experiences such as adapting to local conditions, bilingualism (Mandarin and minority languages), and differentiated instruction. It also compares the similarities and differences in bilingual education across regions, providing a reference for understanding language education in a multicultural context.
