The objective of the Project:

The project aims to (1) theorize how different aspects of Chinese social media use relate to secondary school ethnic minority students' acculturation and Chinese language learning; (2) develop a one-year Chinese language curriculum that incorporates social media materials and interweaves systematic training on social media use for ethnic minority students; (3) understand the effects of this Chinese language curriculum on secondary school ethnic minority students’ acculturation and Chinese language learning.
