The project aims to:
a) To enhance the Chinese language proficiency of multicultural students in schools under support and facilitate their smooth transition from kindergarten to primary education;
b) To gear up the professional capability of teachers in helping their multicultural students learn Chinese for a smooth transition;
c) To provide system knowledge about how to help multicultural students learn Chinese effectively in Hong Kong;
d) To provide an impetus for sustaining the momentum of development in schools admitting multicultural students through disseminating the valuable practices and experiences generated.
