Han-characters shared in a variety of forms among a number of Asian languages constitute a unique linguistic phenomenon. Hanja is taught in Korea, kanji in Japan, Chinese in Mainland China and Singapore learn simplified hanzi while Chinese in Taiwan and Hong Kong learn their traditional Chinese characters. This Conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from different Asian countries to foster international knowledge exchange and research collaboration on Han-characters education and research. Building upon accomplishments and successes of the eleven conferences, the upcoming conference will be held in Poznań, Poland, in 2~5, February 2023.
