This project will develop a digitalized reading platform that aims to
(1) conduct a survey to understand the needs and specifications of the platform;
(2) enhance primary school students’ online reading competence aligned with the objectives of Hong Kong Chinese language curriculum and ePIRLS;
(3) improve teachers’ capacity to teach and assess online reading competence;
(4) build a community with teachers and parents to promote primary school students’ online reading.
The Project period runs from June 2022 to May 2024 funded by Quality Education Fund (QEF). Dr. CM Cheong, member of the CACLER, applied and mentioned the Centre as the major part of the research infrastructure. The co-investigators are Dr. WI Lam and Dr. Rex Ng.
