Call for Abstracts

Review result of abstract proposals was completed in early of October and notifications has already been sent out to accepted presenters via email on October 8.

*** Accepted presenters please register online during the period from 8 to 21 October 2017 otherwise it is assumed that the authors withdraw voluntarily from the presentations which will not be included in the programme rundown.   • Oral Presentation: Presentation should be completed within 15 minutes. As no interpretation service will be offered in the conference, the presentations should be conducted in either Chinese or English. Otherwise, please arrange interpretation at your own cost. In case you will have interpretation in your presentation, please note that the whole presentation should be finished within 15 minutes. If there is any distributed materials for participants, please arrange on your own in advance.
  • Poster Presentation: Please prepare your poster in A0 size. Please print it out in advance and bring it to the conference venue since there will be no printing service (especially for A0 size) available within or outside the hotel.

We welcome proposals for paper presentations discussing research in relation to any areas that fit within the theme of the Conference: “Chinese characters education and research”.

  • Abstract proposal should be submitted via Online Abstract Proposal Form for review before 10 September 2017 (the submission deadline has been extended to23 September 2017).
  • Conference Organizing Committee will notify the abstract acceptance via email in the afternoon on 8 October 2017. Invitation letter will be issued to accepted presenters on 25 November 2017 .
  • All participants (including accepted presenters) should complete the Online Registration Form no later than 21 October 2017 to guarantee the inclusion of their presentations in the Programme.
  • Full papers which should be written in line with the required format shall be submitted by accepted presenters via Online Paper Submission System before 5 December 2017 will be included in the Conference Proceeding. The uploaded file (or zipped file) size should be within 10MB. Those zipped file over 10MB should be sent to yangtiezheng@foxmail.com. Please observe the Full Paper Submission Guideline to prepare your paper. Paper which does not in line with the required format will not be included in the Proceeding. Submission of full paper is not a mandatory requirement. The paper should be your original work, except where due acknowledgement is made, and it has not been previously published.
    • Format of Abstract

    Abstract (including title and keywords) should be written in English or Chinese within 600 – 800 words. If it is written in other language(s), please also submit a version in English or Chinese.

    The abstract should summarize the purpose of the study, methods, major findings with evidence / examples. Please complete the Online Abstract Proposal Form for review by the submission deadline.

    Parallel sessions will include oral and poster presentations.

    Presentation Languages
  • Presentation will be conducted mainly in Chinese (Mandarin) and may be supplemented by English. (Please note that Conference Organizer will not provide interpretation service. Presenters may arrange their interpreter on their own if require. If presenters have their own interpretation service at their session, please control the whole presentation to be finished within the time limit.)
  • Those powerpoints (PPT) which are written in English/Korean/Japanese should be supplemented by Chinese for reference.
