As a carrier of civilization spanning millennia, Han characters exhibit rich regional forms within the East Asian cultural sphere: from the simplified standardization in mainland China to the traditional inheritance in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan; from the Japanese-made kanji using a mix of kana and Japanese script to the Korean-derived kanji using Hangul; and then to the Vietnamese kanji system within the Nôm script. These diverse variations carry shared cultural genes and distinct historical trajectories. This ecosystem of "shared origins, divergent paths, and convergent development" in Han characters has shaped the writing traditions of various language families and serves as a crucial key to understanding the interactions between East Asian civilizations. This conference, hosted by Xiamen University and co-hosted by Renmin University of China, invites scholars, teachers, and researchers from around the world to engage in in-depth dialogue on the study of Han characters themselves, cross-language comparisons, and teaching practices, exploring new possibilities for Han-character education in the digital age.

先破後立。4月24日「得魚不忘筌，得意不忘言——脫離文言教學誤區，實現文言學習遷移」講座指出妨礙文言學與教的方法和觀念後，我們將於5月28日講座提出如何才能有效幫助學生累積文言知識，並能遷移學習。
 
「文白對譯平台」建基於兩項核心主張：第一，文白一貫原理；第二，有限差異原則。平台的核心教學機制是讓不可見的差異變得可注意（noticeable），使語言輸入（input）能轉化為學習者吸收的內化（intake）。該平台不只是一個查詢工具，更是一個體現特定教學理念的學習環境。學習者只要掌握有限且可辨識的幾種系統性差異，文言就如同另一種風格的中文。這種自我效能建構，配合詞彙層級對齊所提供的具體、可操作的學習支架，使平台同時兼具理論陳述、教學工具與研究工具三重身份。

文白對譯平台的應用

AI工具的疾迅發展，正深刻地改變社會，改變生活。當電子技術和學習 者深度融合，語言學習的本質將怎樣定義？其渠道和內容應怎樣規劃？ 學習者的語言和思維又應怎樣深化？ 當AI的大象已經登堂入室，我們沒有理由顧左右而言他，必須通過探究 做出直面的回應。內容包括教育界專家的主題演講；前線資深教師主領平行工作坊；供與會者參與的圓桌討論；及同業多維交流。

Dancing with the Giant: Embracing Chinese Language Teaching in the AI Era

The 13th International Conference and Workshops on Technology and Chinese Language Teaching (TCLT13) seeks to provide a global platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to exchange cutting-edge research, methodologies, and practices in technology-empowered Chinese language learning and instruction. The main theme in this conference is “Human–AI Collaboration in Chinese Language Education: Pedagogy, Assessment, and Equity in the Age of Large Language Models”. Participants are invited to examine, from theoretical, empirical, and practical perspectives, the opportunities and challenges that AI and other technologies bring to the teaching of Chinese as a second language.
